After leaving Middlesex University I worked for both large and small contract caterers before setting up Edwards & Ward with Mike Edwards in 1999, it’s been a fantastic journey and I’m immensely proud of what we have achieved.

Away from my day job I am an avid Motorsport fan, in particular Formula 1 and I thoroughly enjoy travelling to races with my wife when we can.

Having worked in the contract catering industry for my entire career I am passionate and a real ambassador for high standards in everything that I do! Full of energy and enthusiasm my goal is to spread the word about what a great company Edwards & Ward is – to both its clients and employees.

My loves outside work are getting our horse to the Horse of The Year show and Vindalloo Curry! My pet hate has to be sat on the M25.

Caroline Lyons

Operations Manager – South Central

I have over 30 years of experience in the education catering sector starting my career as an assistant cook in a large secondary school when my children were of school age, and over the years progressed to my current position, working for large and small contract caterers.

Outside work I enjoy spending time with my family which includes 4 grandchildren, travelling, theatre and of course cooking!

Mark Atkinson

Operations Manager – South East

After leaving the Royal Air Force in 1990 I worked as a head chef in various restaurants in the West Country. I moved to Brighton in 1996 where I ran a very successful restaurant for over 5 years using locally sourced products and fresh fish which was caught daily from the local fishermen. Since then I have worked for small, medium and large food service companies and joined Edwards & Ward in 2014. I am very proud to work for Edwards & Ward especially working with like-minded people all aiming for the same goals to produce great food, great service and thoroughly enjoying what we are doing.

In my spare time you can catch me on the allotment growing all my own produce or in the kitchen making my own bread.

Haydn Keable

Operations Manager – South Central

Whilst completing my Hospitality Degree from UEA I was fortunate enough to spend 6 months at Elmwood Country Club in New York providing Food & Service to the highest standards for members and their guests. On graduating I worked at Lords Cricket Ground overseeing the hospitality on match days for the private boxes in the Tavern and Mound Stand as well as the public bars and concession stands within these area. I moved on from this briefly to run both bars and a nightclub in London before moving into contract catering. Since then I have worked for both small and large caterers, looking after a mixture of business for a number of high profile companies before moving to join the Edwards and Ward family.

When not at work I enjoy taking part in a multitude of sports including golf, tennis, shooting as well as completing my first triathlon last year, however, with two very active growing boys I find myself spectating and taxiing them to and from events more and more.

Graham Turner

Contracts Manager – Wandsworth

Having spent over twenty years working in Hotel kitchens and restaurants, I find myself now working for an Innovative company who are not stuck In the dark ages. With a modern approach to business solutions we are able to provide our clients with a bespoke service and work alongside colleagues who are passionate about great food and service. 

I love cooking and spending time with my family and where time allows a game of golf and a good glass of wine.

Sarah Barnes

Contracts Manager – North Somerset

Proudly started my Education in Kitchen Craft and Hospitality in Barry, South Glamorgan. Working my way from Chef to Facilites/ Contracts Manager over the years. I have been in Education Catering for over 25 years, and recently had the honour of being awarded the Dedicated Cater of the Year 2016 by LACA.

I live with my wonderful family on a busy Dairy Farm on the Somerset/Dorset Border, and have always had a passion for great food, and the Provenance is very important to me, driving me to find the best produce grown locally. You will regularly find me in a pair of welly boots at 5.00am!
My other passion is for Music, playing for a local Brass Band….. They do say music is the FOOD of love, and i have both in my life.. Lucky me.

Vicky Avery

Operations Manager – Southwest

Following an early start to my career in hotels, I have had varied and challenging experiences in catering management for a variety of large companies. Following a period of running my own businesses in both South West France and Devon, I joined Edwards and Ward in November 2013.

When I am not at work, I enjoy live music, theatre and travel.

Mark Webber

Company Executive Chef

Having a family who were all Farmers I began to understand where food came from at a very early age not to mention the importance of great, fresh ingredients, and how great food can be! I am passionate about great food, service and people. I have worked in Hotels, Michelin Starred Restaurants and for large contract caterers. I am immensely proud to head up the food offer for E&W and be surrounded by some really great people delivering great food on a daily basis! 

Outside of work my time is spent with my family – my two young children and my wife & I also like to play golf!

Chris Carr – Barney

Head of Procurement

After travelling for 3 years I started my career within the food industry at J. Sainsbury’s, this began as Management roles within the Stores, and then progressed to project management positions at Head Office, and finally Trading roles within a number of different categories, I have also gained extensive purchasing experience across the foodservice and contract catering sectors, in both large and small organisations, and with over 20 years experience I still get excited about the challenges and rewards the industry presents.

Along with my wife and two daughters I enjoy travelling, live music and festivals, and my personal interests are art and design, time on the allotment, and various sports including F1, cycling, rugby and football.

Clare Rose MSc RNutr

Registered Nutritionist

Since graduating from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh with an MSc in Public Health Nutrition I have worked hard to gain registered Nutrition status and am fully accredited by the Association for Nutrition. Over the last 10 years I have gained a wealth of experience, providing nutrition advice, training and support for the education and hospitality sectors. Since joining Edwards and Ward I have been tasked with assisting in the development of nutritionally balanced menus and heading up our Special Diets team.

Outside of work my time is spent with my husband and daughter, enjoying the beautiful Sussex countryside. I also love to cook and you will often find me in the kitchen trying our new recipes.

Stuart Howard

Company Craft Trainer

Having completed my catering training at college I went on to work within restaurants, hotels, bakery’s and then contract catering, gaining experience in the Business & Industry and Education sectors. I have a real passion for fresh produce and food that is locally sourced, and I constantly strive to bring new ideas to the table.

In my spare time I like to relax and visit food festivals and markets!!!!!!!
