Each month, our friends at John O’Gaunt School in Hungerford, host a lunch for local pensioners with the aim of providing an opportunity for some much needed social interaction.
Our catering team dished up some firm favourites this month: chicken and vegetable pie followed by a dessert of peaches and custard. The school were then on-hand with teas and coffees and a wonderful team of students volunteered to help serve and provide some after-lunch entertainment in the library.
This lunch is really important to the school and to the team as it is their way of giving back to the local community, and this month’s event was particularly special as it was the first the school have been able to hold since COVID restrictions were first introduced. We were able to cater for twenty-three guests this time and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with all that attended enjoying the food and service. We are already looking forward to next month when we are hoping to increase the numbers to forty-five!
A big thank you to all the staff and students at John O’Gaunt School along with everyone who attended.
